23 17h Linear Tracks Fault - An error was encountered involving the Linear
Tracks such that the command being executed cannot complete
successfully; for example, Linear Tracks non-recording detected while
formatting.
24 18h Engagement Servo Fault - The transport has detected a problem
involving cartridge handling, threading or engagement servos, such
that the command being executed cannot complete successfully.
25 19h Tape Motion Servo Fault - The transport has detected a problem
involving the capstan, reel, scanner or tracking servos, such that the
command being executed cannot complete successfully.
26 1Ah Transport Communications Down - The MSR has determined that a
non-recoverable breach has occurred in transport/electronics serial
communications. Only a power-up or hard reset can provide recovery
from this condition; however commands not requiring the transport
may be executed.
27 1Bh EEW

Encountered - The requested Physical Block could not be
written because the Implicit Position is at or beyond the current EEW
address for the partition, and Write Past EEW was not specified.
28 1Ch EMW

Encountered - The requested Physical Block could not be
written because the Implicit Position is at or beyond the EMW address

29 1Dh EOP Encountered - The ADFN

this should only be a result of inconsistent tape format.
32 20h Invalid Tape Format - An invalid tape format condition has been
detected; for example, non-sequential ADFNs or an inconsistency
between the Volume Format Information and SubArea or Linear Tracks
parameters.
33 21h Diagnostic Built-in Test Failure - One or more errors was encountered
during execution of a Diagnostic Built-in Test Command.
