libdd2 API Functions dst_setdrive
To determine the current configuration, call the dst_getdrive() function.
The default is Sync on Early Warning with checksums enabled.
rdretryct The Read Retry Count drive configuration parameter specifies the
maximum number of retries to read a physical block from tape. The
default setting is 5. The range is 0-255.
wrretryct The Write Retry Count parameter specifies the maximum number of
retries to write a physical block to tape. The default setting is 5. The
range is 0-255.
wrbuffull The Write Buffer Full parameter specifies how full the buffer should be
before the drive starts writing data to tape. This setting is divided by 256
to obtain percentage. The default is 0 which specifies that the drive wait
until the buffer is half full before writing data to tape. The range is 0 or
1-255.
rdbuffull The Read Buffer Full parameter specifies how empty the buffer should
be before the drive retrieves additional data from tape. This setting is
divided by 256 to obtain percentage. The default is 0 which specifies
that the drive wait until the buffer is half empty before reading data from
tape. The range is 0 or 1-255.
wrdelay The Write Delay Time parameter specifies the maximum time that the
drive waits before it writes any buffered data to tape. The time is
measured in 100 millisecond increments from the last buffered Write
command that did not cause the buffer to exceed the Write Buffer Full
Ratio. The default value of zero specifies that there is no time-out and
the data remains in the buffer until a subsequent command writes the
data to tape. The range is 1-65535 (multiplied by 100 milliseconds
sctimeout The Scanner Timeout parameter specifies (in minutes) how long the
tape drive idles before stopping scanner rotation after a thread timeout.
The default is 5. The range is 0-30.
thtimeout The Thread Timeout parameter specifies (in seconds) how long the tape
drive idles before doing a park and unthread operation. The park
location is determined by the Park Anywhere configuration parameter.
The default is 15. The range is 6-30.
ewoffset The Early Warning (EW) parameter controls the position of early
warning relative to the physical End of Partition (EOP). It is measured
in physical blocks (each physical block is approximately 1.2
megabytes). The default is 100. The range is 0-16777215.
cleantime The Cleaning Time parameter specifies the duration of the cleaning
cycle when a head cleaning cartridge is inserted into the tape drive. The
default is 5. The range is 1-65535.
