REMOTE CALIBRATION
The PD Series can be calibrated via computer commands. Therefore, it is not necessary to remove the power
supply from the system. Please follow the following procedures to do calibration remotely.
CV MODE calibration:
1. CAL:STAT <channel> ON – enables the calibration mode
2. CAL:VOLT:LEV <channel> MIN – power supply sends a low voltage to output.
3. Read voltage value from DMM and send this value to the power supply.
4. CAL:VOLT <channel> value – sends read voltage value to power supply.
5. CAL:VOLT:LEV <channel> MID – power supply sends a middle voltage to output.
6. Read voltage value from DMM and send this value to the power supply.
7. CAL:VOLT <channel> value –sends read voltage value to power supply
8. CAL:VOLT:LEV <channel> MAX – power supply sends a high voltage to output.
9. Read voltage value from DMM and send this value to the power supply.
10. CAL:VOLT <channel> value –sends read voltage value to power supply
11. CAL:SAVE <channel>- calculates new voltage calibration data.
12. CAL:STAT<channel. OFF – disables the calibration mode
13. *SAV <channel>– saves all calibration data to internal flash memory
14. Wait about 2-3 minutes
CC MODE Calibration:
15. CAL:STAT <channel> ON – enables the calibration mode
16. CAL:CURR:LEV <channel> MIN – power supply sends a low voltage to output.
17. Read voltage value from DMM. Divide value (volts) by the current shunt resistance (ohms) to
obtain calculated current value. Send this value to the power supply.
18. CAL:CURR <channel> value – sends calculated current value to power supply.
19. CAL:CURR:LEV <channel> MID – power supply sends a middle voltage to output.
20. Read voltage value from DMM. Divide value (volts) by the current shunt resistance (ohms) to
obtain calculated current value. Send this value to the power supply.
21. CAL:CURR <channel> value – sends calculated current value to power supply.
22. CAL:CURR:LEV <channel> MAX – power supply sends a high voltage to output.
23. Read voltage value from DMM. Divide value (volts) by the current shunt resistance (ohms) to
obtain calculated current value. Send this value to the power supply.
24. CAL:CURR <channel> value –sends calculated current value to power supply
25. CAL:SAVE <channel> – saves new current calibration data.
26. CAL:STAT<channel. OFF – disables the calibration mode
27. *SAV <channel> – saves all calibration data to internal flash memory save calibration data to
channel’s Flash Rom.
28. Wait about 2-3 minute
