Focusing Knobs
Coarse Focus: This is the large knob on the side of the
microscope that moves the objective lens up and down.
It is used in conjunction with the fine focus. Do not use
this knob with the 100X objective lens.
Fine Focus: The outer knob, used to fine-tune the focus
of a specimen in conjunction with the coarse focus.
Head Lock Screw
The head lock screw secures the microscope head to
the microscope. Loosen the head to rotate between
forward and reverse mounting. Tighten the screw to
lock the microscope head position into place.

preference only; it
makes no difference in
imaging.
