2. Operation
2.1 Unpacking
2.1.1 Unpack the Box
1. Very carefully slide the Styrofoam container out of the cardboard carton.
2. Lay the Styrofoam container on its side. Make sure the side labeled up is up.
3. Remove the tape.
4. Carefully open the Styrofoam container, avoid dropping and damaging the
optical items.
2.1.2 Verify Packing List
Check the packing list to ensure that you’re received all items:
Ø One Microscope Body
Ø One Binocular (B490) or One Trinocular (T490) Rotating Gemel Head
Ø One Adjustable Trinocular Photo Port (for T490 only)
Ø Four Objectives (4x, 10x, 40x, 100x)
Ø Pair of 10X Widefield Eyepieces
Ø Pair of 16X Widefield Eyepieces (for -A models only)
Ø Pair of 20X Widefield Eyepieces (for -B models only)
Ø Pair of 25X Widefield Eyepieces (for -C models only)
Ø Three Color Filters (Blue, Green, & Yellow), (for non-LED models only)
Ø One Bottle of Immersion Oil
Ø One 6V/20W Spare Halogen Bulb (for 20W models only)
Ø One 6V/30W Spare Halogen Bulb (for 30W models only)
Ø One Spare Fuse
Ø One Dust Cover
Note: LED models do not have a spare bulb, as the LED bulbs do not need
replacing.
