The Precis LT system is a compact, fixed, stand-alone routing system that is pre-engineered to fit in a

broad range of video and audio environments. Precis LT systems route and distribute component HDTV

and stereo audio simultaneously or separately. Several models available are designed to fit small to

mid-range applications such as boardrooms, sports bars, video conferencing, retail, security, and portable

command-and-control centers.

All Precis LT models are controllable from the featured front mounted control panel or any control

device that can send and receive ASCII characters through an RS-232 serial cable.

Because the Precis LT is available in two sizes (1 RU and 2 RU) and various configurations, the

illustrations in this manual may differ slightly from the model(s) you purchased.

Precis LT Features

 Ultra-flat video bandwidth curve measured at a tight ±3 dB

 Supports full Device Discovery through AMX’s AutoPatch Duet module (firmware v.1.4.0 or

higher is required; see FIG. 23 on page 27)

 RS-232 control port

 Supports AMX AutoPatch’s simple BCS serial control protocol

 Breakaway to route video, audio, or video and audio

Precis LT Control Features

Several control options are available in addition to the standard front mounted control panel. Multiple

control methods can be used on the same system.

 Standard front mounted control panel

 AMX Control Device (for control programming information, see the instruction manual for

the specific interface)

 Ships with free APControl 3.0 software to provide single-user PC control of the Precis LT

 Optional TCP/IP control via an external APWeb module

 Supports AMX AutoPatch’s simple BCS* (Basic Control Structure) serial control protocol

 Supports third-party controllers

* BCS is sent as ASCII characters through the Control port. For information on BCS commands, see the
