However, final selection of a wheelchair rests solely with you and your health care professional. WARNING B. WHAT EFFECT CAN EMI HAVE? 1. EMI can cause your chair, without warning, to: Release its brakes Move by itself Move in unintended directions If any of these occurs, it could result in severe injury to you or others. 2. EMI can damage the control system of your chair. This could create a safety hazard, and lead to costly repairs. WARNING C. SOURCES OF EMI The sources of EMI fall into three broad types: 1. Hand-Held Transceivers: The antenna is usually mounted directly on the unit.
VI. GENERAL WARNINGS WARNING Heed all warnings in this section. If you fail to do so a fall, tip-over or loss of control may occur and cause severe injury to you or others. A. PROHIBITED - F. CHANGES & ADJUSTMENTS Never use non-Amypower parts to replace Amypower provided parts or make changes to your chair unless authorized by Amypower. (Doing so will void the warranty and may create a safety hazard.) WARNING Accessories designed by manufacturers other than Amypower is not available through Amypower the order process have not been tested or approved for use by Amypower. 1. If you modify or adjust this chair it may increase the risk of a fall or tip-over. 2.
WARNING - L. CENTER OF BALANCE The point where this chair will tip forward, back, or to the side depends on its center of balance and stability. The Center Of Balance Is Affected By: 1. The seat height and seat angle. 2. A change in your body position, posture or weight distribution. 3. Using this chair on a ramp or slope. 4. The use of a back pack or other options, and the amount of added weight. 5. Drive wheel positioning.
Beware Of: 1. Steep slopes. Do not use this chair on a slope steeper than 10%. (A 10% slope means: One foot in elevation for every ten feet of slope length). 2. Wet or slippery surfaces (such as when ice, snow, water or oil film is present). A loss of traction may cause a fall or tip-over. 3. A change in grade on a slope (or a lip, bump or depression). These may cause a fall or tip-over. 4. A drop-off at the bottom of a slope.
VII. WARNINGS: COMPONENTS & OPTIONS WARNING Note: If you use parts or make changes not authorized by Amypower it may create a safety hazard and will void the Warranty. WARNING A. ARMRESTS Armrests will not bear the weight of this chair. PROHIBITED! Never lift this chair by its armrests. They may come loose or break. WARNING B. BATTERIES Always wear rubber gloves and safety glasses when you handle batteries. PROHIBITED! Never smoke or hold an open flame near batteries. They are a known explosion hazard.
WARNING I. POSITIONING BELTS WARNING M. POWER SEATING Use a positioning belt only to help support your posture. Improper use of such belts may cause severe injury or death. 1. Make sure you are not at risk to slide down in the wheelchair seat. If this occurs, you may suffer chest compression or suffocate due to pressure from the belt. 2. A pelvic wedge or a similar device can help keep you from sliding down in the seat. Consult your health care professional to find out if you need such a device. 3.
WARNING N. CG TILT POWER ACCESSORY Pinch Point Avoid putting hands or fingers near the power tilt mechanism while in operation. The powered CG Tilt accessory for this chair has a maximum user weight capacity range from 300 lbs up to 400 lbs depending on the chair configuration. Never exceed the specified capacity while operating the powered actuator. WARNING O. 11” SEAT LIFT POWER ACCESSORY Pinch Point Avoid putting hands or fingers near the power seat lift mechanism while in operation.
A. BATTERY REMOVAL To remove the batteries for transporting or servicing: Remove Batteries a. Push panel when pulling the handle (a). b. Drop panel and pull-out tray extension (b). c. Carefully pull battery pack until cable connection is accessible d. Disconnect and pull tray to full deployment to remove the batteries. e. Lift the battery from the compartment using the battery carrying straps. f. Repeat operation in reversed steps to put the batteries back in. a WARNING Batteries may weigh up to 55 lbs.
C. ELEVATING LEGREST (OPTIONAL) 1. Installation To install or remove Elevating legrests (ELR) see instructions for Swing-away Footrest installation. J D. CENTER MOUNT HANGER ADJUSTMENT 1. H. DUAL-POST HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE ARM RESTS The dual-post flip-back armrest can be used as either a flip-back armrest or a removable armrest. 1. Installing Armrest a. Insert front and rear posts into armrest receivers. b. Engage lever (A) and insert the rear safety pin (B). 2. Set-up for Flip-back Operation a. Disengage lever (A) so front post is able to come free. b. Armrest now has the ability to be flipped back without removal. 3. Set-up for Removal a.
IX. OPERATING GUIDE A. CIRCUIT BREAKERS Your Amypower Alltrack has a single circuit breaker. In the unlikely event of a short circuit or heavy overload, all power to your chair will be shut off. To reset your chair, depress the circuit breaker button. A few minutes wait is required before the circuit breaker will reset. a To access the circuit breaker Push the battery box panel when pulling the handle. Drop the panel down and the circuit breaker becomes visible (a). Reset the circuit breaker.
2. R-net EL Joystick (Activates multiple power options) E. PERFORMANCE CONTROL SETTINGS NOTE - Seek advice regarding checking and adjusting settings. It is vital to match control settings to your level of function and ability. Consult your health care professional and your supplier to select the best control setting for you. For your safety, have the setting of your chair verified every six months.
H. Power Tilt (Standard Operating Instructions) 1- WARNING!!! 866- Make sure the wheelchair is on a level surface before proceeding with tilt mode. SINGLE ACTUATOR TOGGLE SWITCH Increasing Tilt Angle Pull the toggle switch (located next to the wheelchair joystick) backward toward the rear of the wheelchair until the desired tilt angle is achieved, then release. SINGLE ACTUATOR TOGGLE SWITCH Decreasing Tilt Angle To reverse the tilt angle direction.
I. Power Seat Lift (Standard Operating Instructions) WARNING!!! Make sure the wheelchair is on a level surface before proceeding with Lift mode and driving in reduced speed while lifted. SINGLE ACTUATOR TOGGLE SWITCH Increasing Lift Height Pull the toggle switch (located next to the wheelchair joystick) backward toward the rear of the wheelchair until the desired Lift Height is achieved, then release. SINGLE ACTUATOR TOGGLE SWITCH Decreasing Lift Height To decrease the Lift Height.
J. Power Tilt /Seat Lift Combo (Standard Operating Instructions) WARNING!!! Make sure the wheelchair is on a level surface before proceeding with either Tilt or Lift mode and driving in reduced speed while lifted. Tilt and Seat Lift options are programmed to operate separately. The ability to tilt while the seat lift is elevated is not possible. Bypassing this programming may cause severe injury.
K. Power Recline (Std. Operating Instructions) WARNING!!! Make sure the wheelchair is on a level surface before proceeding with recline mode. Increasing Recline Angle with 4-way Toggle Pull the four-way toggle switch back towards the rear of the wheelchair until the desired recline angle is achieved and release. Increasing Recline Angle with Push Button Switches Push the 3rd button furthest from the wire until the desired recline angle is achieved and release.
L. Power Elevating Front Riggings (Std. Operating Instructions) Make sure the wheelchair is on a level surface. Increasing & Decreasing the Left Legrest Angle With the 4-Way Toggle Switch Move the four-way toggle switch towards the left side of the wheelchair until the desired legrest angle is achieved.
M. Manual Recline (Std. Operating Instructions) Attendant Locking Manual Recline Attendant must pull and hold the recline lever upward in order to release the recline locking mechanism. Attendant Locking Manual Recline Attendants can adjust the recline angle by either pushing down or pulling up the rear back while pulling and holding the recline lever activated. Once desired recline angle is attained, release the recline lever.
N. Adjustments SEAT - Width Adjustment Unscrew and remove the 6 to 8 screws located on top of the seat pan and, than equally adjust the seat width to the desired width and put screws back in place. Note: The width adjustment must also be made on the rear cross tubes that hold the back canes and seat laterally. WARNING: At all times, the screws holding the seat plates and back cross tube must be screwed in tight and secured in order to avoid severe injury and/or damage to the seating system.

X. BATTERIES A. INTRODUCTION 1. Notes Batteries supply the power for your chair. They contain a finite amount of energy and have limits on how long they can store and supply energy. You can charge batteries only a certain number of times before they will fail and no longer hold a charge. For answers to questions about batteries, consult your supplier. 2. Use Proper Batteries: Your chair operates on two 12 volt batteries. They should be Group 24 (or 22NF) size with a minimum of 50 ampere hour rating.
PROHIBITED! 4. Place the battery compartment lid on power base. Never make direct contact across both battery terminals, as an explosion may occur. A spark may result in an explosion and/or fire resulting in severe injury or death. WARNING E. CHARGING BATTERIES To avoid the risk of severe injury or death from electrical shock, fire or explosion while charging: PROHIBITED! Never connect charger to a 240 volt source. The main input voltage is 110 volts.
WARNING D. BATTERY MAINTENANCE 1. To prevent an acid spill, always keep batteries upright (wet cell batteries). 2. Never smoke or hold an open flame near batteries. 3. Always wear rubber gloves and safety glasses when you handle batteries. 1. Maintenance Schedule: This varies for different types of batteries.
