2. INSTALLATION PREPARATION: interior side up Tools needed: 14 In this step, you will remove the insect screen and shipping clip. . Lay the door flat on a protected surface with the exterior side down. TIP: Lay on door carton. 2 2. Remove insect screen by pressing down on the shipping clip to CARTON release insect screen (Figure 5). 3. Remove the shipping clip using a pair of pliers. Grasp shipping clip and pull out of door frame. Properly dispose of shipping clip.

3. PREPARE STORM DOOR FOR HANGING 1 - #8x1” Tools needed: 8 - #8x1/2” 1/8” LEFT HINGE - Exterior View (Figure 9) In this step, you will hang the rain cap against the top mounting surface (Figure 9). 11 11 RIGHT HINGE - Exterior View (Figure 9) . 4. HANG HINGED STORM DOOR Tools needed: 14 - #8x1” 11 1/8” LEFT HINGE - Exterior Views In this step, you will hang the storm door in the opening. RIGHT HINGE - Exterior Views . 5. INSTALL GLASS PANEL - do not install the insect screen at this time Tools needed: None LEFT HINGE - Exterior Views In this step, you will install the glass panel into the door frame. RIGHT HINGE - Exterior Views . Open the door. Push and hold safety release slide safety release slide the safety release slide up, then rotate the handle up a 1/4 turn. The handle should now be in a vertical position (Figure 17).

6. INSTALL REMAINING FRAME COMPONENTS 8 - #8x1” Tools needed: 11 1/8” LEFT HINGE - Exterior Views In this step, you will finish fastening the rain cap to the top mounting surface. RIGHT HINGE - Exterior Views . Close the storm door. 2. Adjust the rain cap so that the 1 1 gap between the rain cap and door frame is the same along the entire length of the rain cap. 3. Using the 1/8” drill bit, drill holes in the mounting surface through the pre-drilled holes in the rain cap (Figure 20). 4.

7. INSTALL LATCH STRIKER . Refer to the handle set instructions to install the latch striker. 8. You will use this measurement to cut the edge seal to its proper length. . Locate the top of the edge seal. 2.

9. INSTALL SCREW COVERS Tools needed: LEFT HINGE - Exterior Views In this step, you will install the screw covers over the mounting screws in the rails and rain cap. RIGHT HINGE - Exterior Views BEFORE BEFORE . Starting with the rain cap screw cover, insert a groove in the screw cover into the bottom track of the rain cap (Figure 29). 2. Snap the groove in the top of the screw cover into the top track of the rain cap (Figure 30). 3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to install the remaining side screw covers.

Attach the push button closer to the jamb bracket using the short pin. 9. Attach the door bracket to the push button closer with the long pin. 0. Press the push button on the push button closer and then pull (extend) closer by 1/4” - 3/8”.

11. ADJUST THE CLOSER Tools needed: LEFT HINGE - Interior Views SLOWER FASTER Figure 34 In this step, you will adjust the door closers. Locate the adjustment screw at the end of the closer that attaches to the door frame (Figure 34). . Open the door and then let it close to note the speed at which the door closes. 2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver to adjust the closer to the desired speed: • For a faster closing speed, turn the adjustment screw to the left (counterclockwise).
