Before using the product Wipe both the interior and exterior with a slightly damp cloth or kitchen paper. To enhance the non-stick performance of the waffle maker plates, always rub the plates with a little butter or margarine (suitable for frying). When using the waffle maker for the first time it may emit a little smoke. This is due to the plates curing and will stop after a short time. There are two lights on the waffle maker.
