Quick Start
Let’s begin with some quick examples of essential tasks being accomplished in the
Control Panel.
Note: These examples do not convey the "correct" or "only" way of accomplishing the
following tasks. They merely illustrate some fundamental logic and offer solutions to
the initial stumbling blocks most often encountered by novice users.
Playback audio from the computer
The audio signal coming from your computer when
using the Discrete 8 Pro Synergy Core as a playback
device is represented by the COMPUTER PLAY
channels. In most cases in your DAW or your computer
sounds will play on Outputs 1-2 which corresponds to
COMPUTER PLAY 1 and COMPUTER PLAY 2. You can
route COMPUTER PLAY 1 and 2 in any of the MIXERS
(1-4) and make sure the panning is set to hard left and
hard right to have a proper stereo image. Then just
route the MIXER OUT channels to your
Headphones/Monitor outs. Another option would be to
directly route COMPUTER PLAY 1 and 2 into the
Headphone/Monitor Left and Right
