Discrete 8 Pro Synergy Core User Manual
Page 38
You should be hearing mic audio in your headphones at this point. Use the
‘HEADPHONES 1’ volume knob or the mix faders for Channels 1 and 2 to adjust output
volume.
Record in your DAW
Recording with the Discrete 8 Pro Synergy Core is very simple. First, make sure the
interface is chosen as your main input and output device in your DAW. Next, open the
Control Panel and click 'DAW'. Note the following:
Inputs 1 - 32 in your DAW correspond to the 32 channels labeled 'Record 1 - 32 in the
'TO DAW' row. Use the input selectors to choose your audio sources. Then create new
tracks in your DAW and assign the inputs with the matching numbers to them, e.g.
'Record 1' = 'Input 1'.
Likewise, Outputs 1 - 32 in your DAW correspond to the channels labeled 'PLAY 1 - 32' in
the 'FROM DAW' row. These channels can be chosen as audio sources from the input
selectors in any of the following tabs - ‘MIXERS’, ‘DIGITAL OUTS’, ‘LINE OUTS’, ‘AFX’.
This can also be done from the “virtual patch bay” routing matrix view, available from the
‘ROUTING’ tab. The possibilities are extensive.
NOTE: The Discrete 8 Pro Synergy Core provides 32 Play and Record channels over
Thunderbolt and 24 Play and Record channels over USB.
