7.5. General Subnetwork Sengs
7.5.1. Communicaon Serial Protocol
Before You Begin
Before starng the conguraon, select the Serial protocol you want to use:
• Modbus RTU, Default seng: Use for serial devices that conform to the Modbus communicaon specicaon.
• Custom Request/Response: Create your own custom request/response transacons.
The transacons can be based on the Modbus communicaon specicaon or fully customized.
• Custom Produce/Consume: Create your own custom produce/consume transacons.
IMPORTANT
When changing the serial protocol, all sengs are reset to default and all added nodes,
transacons, and transacon templates are deleted.
Procedure
On the Communicaon page, General sengs:
1. To choose a Serial protocol, select Modbus RTU, Custom Request/Response or Custom Produce/Consume.

2. To conrm the selected protocol, click Change serial protocol.

Apply Conguraon
To apply the sengs, click Apply in the web-interface header, and follow the instrucons.
