7.5. General Subnetwork Sengs
7.5.1. Communicaon Serial Protocol
Before You Begin
Before starng the conguraon, select the Serial protocol you want to use:
• Modbus RTU, Default seng: Use for serial devices that conform to the Modbus communicaon specicaon.
• Custom Request/Response: Create your own custom request/response transacons.
The transacons can be based on the Modbus communicaon specicaon or fully customized.
• Custom Produce/Consume: Create your own custom produce/consume transacons.
IMPORTANT
When changing the serial protocol, all sengs are reset to default and all added nodes,
transacons, and transacon templates are deleted.
Procedure
On the Communicaon page, General sengs:
1. To choose a Serial protocol, select Modbus RTU, Custom Request/Response or Custom Produce/Consume.

2. To conrm the selected protocol, click Change serial protocol.

Apply Conguraon
To apply the sengs, click Apply in the web-interface header, and follow the instrucons.
