Default MIDI mappings and general recommendaons
Your Sylphyo assumes a default pitch-bend range of ±2 semitones.
The following table summarizes the MIDI messages sent by the Sylphyo
for each of the parameters you control, with the default mapping (al-
though you may have to enable some of these parameters first). You
can always change these messages in the MIDI Mappings secon of
the Sengs menu.
Parameter Default MIDI message to map
Breath intensity CC 11 (Expression)
Slider control CC 1 (Modulaon)
Slider control (from top edge) CC 12 (Effect Controller 1)
Slider control (from boom
edge)
CC 13 (Effect Controller 2)
Elevaon angle CC 75 (Sound Controller 6)
Roll angle CC 76 (Sound Controller 7)
Compass direcon CC 77 (Sound Controller 8)
Key-bend (control) CC 78 (Sound Controller 9)
If you cannot use these mappings (e.g., with a simple Soundfont ex-
pander or sample-based synthesizer), you can at least configure the Syl-
phyo to use dynamic velocity: the velocity of the MIDI notes you play
will be commensurate to the intensity of your breath at the beginning
of the note. To do so, go to the MIDI Mappings secon of the Sengs
menu, and set the Velocity parameter to Dynamic.
