73.1 A hassock fan shall sustain a 1779 N (400 pound)
load uniformly distributed over the top of the fan for
1 minute, without breakage or cracking of the
enclosure or guard, after which the probe
illustrated in Figure 9.1 shall not contact a portion
of the impeller that presents a risk of injury to
persons when inserted through any opening in the
guard or enclosure.
