11.8 Self Diagnosis
Power On Self Diagnosis
The router is installed with power-on self-diagnostic functions. After the power is switched
on, the router will perform the following self-test diagnostics.
Item Description
ROM inspect ROM‘s to CHECK ROM size
RAM inspect RAM‘s read/write operations
after execute the previous self-diagnostic the LED will be lit in following sequences
PW LED will be always light when power is on
ER LED on then off
ER flash two times
DA LED is lit during sending or receiving data with PC
♦ Do not turn off power during self-diagnosis.
♦ If a problem occurs during self-diagnosis, the ER LED will keep flashing
throughout the test.
