User manual

Presetting a particular mode can be interesting to shorten that detection time, providing
that you know in advance what kind of digital format will be received.
If you manually selected a specific digital format to be decoded, its name will be
displayed, as follows (example for Digital CR mode):
Notes regarding the DMR mode:
When using a non-AOR receiver, it might be necessary to change the IF direction from
+ to – as follows:
From the standby screen (dot flashing at the lower right display corner), LONG
press the ESC button twice.
The display will show: DMR IF
>+
Use the UP or DOWN arrow to change + to – and validate with ENTER.
DMR Tier 2 is a two-slot TDMA system containing 2 channels. You can switch between
SLOT 1 and SLOT 2 by pushing the ESC button. When the transmission contains only
one voice channel, ARD300 switches to the correct slot automatically. In the case
where both channels contain only data (no voice), ARD300 remains silent although the
screen shows BSY (BUSY).
Notes regarding the NXDN mode:
Starting with firmware 409C, the RAN (Radio Access Number) can be set
between 0 and 63. Default is 0, that allows you to hear all operators on that
received frequency. If you want to narrow down to a particular operator/Radio
Access Number, you can set the RAN as follows:
LONG press both the UP and DOWN keys. The display will show RAN:00
