Self-adhesive window film
Quick to apply, quick to remove. Adhesion through static charge. Can be re-used.
Transparent, whether supplied with or without grid perforation. The film does not impact on
the functionality of a windscreen aerial or on the rear window heating. Easy self-fitting (unpack,
apply, done).
Installation:
Thoroughly clean the internal and exterior surface of the window to be fitted with the film.
Place the film on the exterior surface of the window. Ensure that the shiny adhesive side of the
film faces upwards. The general design certification number (German ABG number) is inverted.
Cut the film to the exact size using the rubber moulding or the black tinted edge of the window
as a guide. You must be able to see the ABG number clearly on both sides. Best results are
achieved at a temperature of approximately 20°C.
1. In case of extremely curved rear windows, the film must be applied in individual
horizontal lengths to ensure that it is crease-free. For this, cut the film into appropriate
lengths and overlap each length by 1-2 mm at the heating wire. Repeat this process
until the entire rear window is covered with crease-free film. Depending on the type
of vehicle, you may require 3-5 lengths.
2. Use a lint-free cloth to rub over the shiny adhesive side several times. This causes the
film to become statically charged, which results in better adherence to the window.
Then place the shiny adhesive side of the film on the inside of the window.
3. Use overlapping strokes to smooth the film from the centre to the outside. When
using several film lengths, always overlap these at the heating wires.
4. We recommend using the wet adhesion method for even better results! Spray the
inside of the window with a water and soap solution (approx. 5 drops of conventional
dishwashing liquid to 1 litre water). Then place the shiny adhesive side of the film on
the inside of the window and work the water out from the centre to the outside by
means of overlapping strokes. Use a soft paper towel (kitchen roll) for this to ensure
that residual liquid is soaked up and does not penetrate the film again.
