A basic enclosure solution for networking administrators providing a simple solution for organisa-

tion, security, flexibility and protection of networking equipment in a datacentre environment.

The NetShelter Standard Enclosure is a high quality, free standing enclosure that saves floor

space, organises equipment, eliminates cabling “rat’s nests” and physically protects your

investment. Each Standard Enclosure is designed specifically for industry standard (EIA-310-D)

19” rack-mount equipment and is offered in a 40U version providing 70” (1778mm) of

equipment mounting space. With an overall height of 76” (1930mm) the enclosure will easily

fit through 6.5’ (2m) high doorway. What’s more, the NetShelter Standard Enclosure provides

an equipment weight rating of 1,000 lbs (455kg) - more than enough capacity for simple con-

figurations. The NetShelter Standard Enclosure is powder coated in computer beige for an

attractive yet durable finish.

The NetShelter Standard Enclosure features simple and quick enclosure selection, installation

and equipment access. There’s no need to spend hours selecting from dozens of rack config-

urations because APC has made it easy for you by handling the details and provides a com-

plete enclosure solution right out of the box. The Standard Enclosure requires no assembly

and rolls through most office doors on its integrated casters – once again, there’s no tipping

required.

Moreover, expansion units are not required for the NetShelter Standard as baying hardware is

provided with each unit. Baying multiple NetShelter Standard Enclosures together is quick and

simple. When configuring a multibay unit lineup, the side panels are removed from each

Standard enclosure, and then the units are rolled and bolted together using the hardware pro-

vided with each enclosure. Finally, two side panels are attached at each end to provide a secure

enclosure lineup.
