Hand-held control panel for network administrators that configures and controls
UPSs in rack, computer room, and datacentre environments.
The PowerView UPS Management Display is a hand-held control panel that
provides full control and local monitoring of the connected UPS. A key benefit of
this product is its ability to learn configurations at a UPS and download to other
units. This allows for time and cost savings when setting up data centres and
server rooms. With monitoring and control parameters such as input voltage,
level of redundancy, and temperature and humidity, the display helps manage
APC Smart-UPS, Matrix-UPS, and Symmetra Power Array from a monitoring
station up to 15’ (430cm) away.
Features include:
The operation of the display is divided into six functional areas, each accessible
through an item in the top-level menu:
UPS status, setup and control—Multi-language—Backlight—Control/status of
accessories—Diagnostics—Event logging—Configuration of the display—
Configuration copy and download
Fingertip LED indicators
Four LED indicators across the upper face of the display show the opera-
tional status of the connected UPS:
LOAD ON—Green indicates that the UPS is supplying power to the load (elec-
trical device).
ON BATTERY—Yellow indicates that power to the attached load is being supplied
by the UPS batteries.
BYPASS—Yellow indicates that power to the load is being supplied directly from
the power utility. The UPS has been effectively removed from the circuit
(Matrix-UPS and Symmetra models only).
FAULT—Red indicates that the UPS has detected an internal fault condition.
