Adding or Removing a Battery String

When adding or removing a battery string, first disconnect
power to the Battery Management System by unplugging the
power input cable to avoid causing sparks that could cause
a battery to explode.

See the installation guide (990-1224B), which came with your
system, for battery string connection instructions. It is also
available on the APC Web site (www.apc.com).
The Battery Management System auto-detects the new
battery string. Verify that the polarities of the two strings
match. If they do not, the Battery Management System will
not be able to detect the second string.
