Check-Valve Replacement
To replace the Check Valve on your RO system, please follow steps below:
1) Turn off the feed water to the RO system. Close the tank’s ball valve.
2) The Check Valve is the L-shaped plastic fitting located on the “lower left” port of the membrane
housing, see Fig.1. The Check Valve is connected to a Clear tubing, which is the membrane’s pure
water output line.
3) Disconnect the Clear tubing from the old Check Valve. Unscrew to remove the Check Valve from
membrane housing.
4) Put on the new Check Valve with teflon tape on the end and screw onto the membrane housing.
Tighten with hand (or wrench) until snuggly fitted. Don’t over tighten.
5) Simply push the Clear tubing into the new Check Valve.
6) Turn on feed water. Open tank valve.
7) Let the RO system run as usual. Check for any leaks.
To Connect the Tubing:
Push the tubing all the way into the Quick Connect fitting, then
gently pull back on the tubing to make sure the connection is
completely secure. See Fig.2.
- No inserts, sleeve, or nuts are needed to secure the connection.
- No Teflon tape!
To Disconnect the Tubing:
Hold down on the collet ring square against the fitting and pull
out the tubing. With the collet held in this position the tube can be
removed. See Fig.3.
