Description

Apollo’s Tank Max thermal mixing valve mixes hot water with cold to deliver 120º F water to ﬁxtures. By setting the heater to

140º or higher and mixing with cold water to deliver 120º F, the effective volume of 120º F delivered increases signiﬁcantly. With

years of high quality thermostatic valve design and manufacturing, Tank Max possesses the most current technology.

Constant and stable outlet water temperature is achieved through the incorporation of a high quality thermostatic element

which accounts for changing ﬂows and supply temperature variation. Tank Max is factory set at 120º F outlet temperature, but is

easily adjustable to the needs of the system.

The Tank Max installation kit allows for simple and quick installation and includes the Tank Max valve, ﬂexible connector, water

heater tee, and union ﬁtting.

Speciﬁcation

A thermostatic mixing valve shall be installed at the water

heater to distribute tempered water thought the domestic

hot water system at a temperature of 120º F. The valve shall

be certiﬁed to ASSE 1017 and shall be listed by a third party.

Using a regulating piston made from engineered polymer, the

thermostatic mixing valve should control the distributed water

temperature. The valve shall be an Apollo

Tank Max.

WATER HEATER PRODUCTS Tank Max Flexible Hose Mixing Valve Tee Union Fitting Typical Installation (Please consult local plumbing codes before installing.) 1. Apply sealing tape to the hot and cold water connection threads on the water heater. Attach the union fitting to the hot water outlet of the water heater. 2. Attach the mixing valve to the NPSM Swivel end of fitting. 3. Connect the tee to the cold water inlet of the water heater. 4. Apply sealing tape to the male threads of the mixing valve and tee.
