Configuration software
An APPI-Com module can only communicate with modules having the same kit ID. In factory configuration,
the Radios are configured with the same kit number: there is therefore no need to configure.
Thereafter, the user may wish to change the configuration of the modules in the following cases:
Replace a radio in a kit, Create new kits (example: 3 kits of 2 modules from 2 kits of 3, etc.)
Enable / disable the "Secret" mode, enable or disable the "Talk" and / or "Listen" modes, etc.
Installing the PC configuration software
The Software is provided on a USB key, with an
Autorun.exe program:
Click on the Install button to launch the APPI-Com
Configuration installation software.
When the software is installed, an
icon will appear on the desktop to
launch the software:
Configuring an APPI Kit for 3 Tutorial
The purpose of the example described below is to create a kit consisting of 3 Radios:
1. The software proposes to create a Kit or
an advanced configuration.
2. After choosing “2 or 3 modules”, the
software requests to connect the
modules and indicates the number of
detected modules.
3. Connect only the 3 Radios of the new kit,
using the provided USB cables, and
switch them on.
NOTE: detection could take more than a
minute.
NOTE: The Radios will switch to USB Mode, if not, change the COM/USB mode to USB
