Status icons
The icons in the status bar at the top of the screen give information about iPad:
Status icon
What it means
Wi-Fi
iPad has a Wi-Fi Internet
connection. The more
bars, the stronger the
connection. See Connect
to Wi-Fi (on page) .
Cell signal
iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular
models) is in range of the
cellular network. If there’s
no signal, “No service”
appears.
Airplane Mode
Airplane Mode is on—you
can’t access the Internet,
or use Bluetooth®
devices. Non-wireless
features are available. See
Travel with iPad (on page)
.
LTE
iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular
models) is connected to
the Internet over a 4G LTE
network.
4G
iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular
models) is connected to
the Internet over a 4G
network.
3G
iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular
models) is connected to
the Internet over a 3G
network.
EDGE
iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular
models) is connected to
the Internet over an EDGE
network.
GPRS
iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular
models) is connected to
the Internet over a GPRS
network.
Do Not Disturb
Do Not Disturb is turned
