Sentence,thenswipeleftorrighttomovebackwardorforward.(YoumayneedtoenableText
Selection—gotoSettings >Accessibility>VoiceOver>Rotor.)
SettherotortoEdit,swipeupordowntochooseSelectorSelectAll,thendouble-tap.Ifyou
chooseSelect,thewordclosesttotheinsertionpointisselectedwhenyoudouble-tap.To
increaseordecreasetheselection,doatwo-fingerscrub(movetwofingersbackandforth
threetimesquickly,makinga“z”)todismissthepop-upmenu,thenpinch.
Cut,copy,orpaste:SettherotortoEdit,selectthetext,swipeupordowntochooseCut,Copy,
orPaste,thendouble-tap.
Fixmisspelledwords:SettherotortoMisspelledWords,thenswipeupordowntojumptothe
previousornextmisspelledword.Swipeleftorrighttochooseasuggestedreplacement,then
double-taptousethereplacement.
Undo:ShakeiPad,swipeleftorrighttochoosetheactiontoundo,thendouble-tap.
Changethekeyboardsettings
1. GotoSettings >Accessibility>VoiceOver.
2. Tapanyofthefollowing:
TypingStyle:Youcanchooseanewstyle.Or,settherotortoTypingMode,thenswipeupor
down.
PhoneticFeedback:Speaktextcharacterbycharacter.VoiceOverfirstspeaksthecharacter,
thenitsphoneticequivalent—forexample,“f”andthen“foxtrot.
TypingFeedback:Choosetospeakcharacters,words,both,ornothing.
Rotor:Selectthesettingsyouwanttoincludeintherotor.
Speech:TapAddNewLanguage(belowRotorLanguages),thenchoosealanguage.
Verbosity:TapDeletingText.TohaveVoiceOverspeakdeletedcharactersinalowerpitch,tap
ChangePitch.
WritewithyourfingerusingVoiceOveroniPad
WithHandwritingmode,youcanentertextbywritingcharactersonthescreenwithyourfinger.In
additiontonormaltextentry,usehandwritingmodetoenteryouriPadpasscodesilentlyortoopen
appsfromtheHomeScreen.
