1. Afteryouturnontwo-factorauthenticationononedevice,signinwiththesameAppleIDon
anotherdevice.
2. Whenyouʼreaskedtoenterasix-digitverificationcode,dooneofthefollowing:
ObtaintheverificationcodeonyouriPadoranothertrusteddevicethatʼsconnectedtothe
internet:Lookforanotificationonthatdevice,thentaporclickAllowtomakethecodeappear
onthatdevice.(AtrusteddeviceisaniPhone,iPad,iPodtouch,orMaconwhichyouʼve
alreadyturnedontwo-factorauthenticationandonwhichyouʼresignedinwithyourAppleID.)
Obtaintheverificationatatrustedphonenumber:Ifatrusteddeviceisnʼtavailable,tap“Didnʼt
getaverificationcode?”thenchooseaphonenumber.
Obtaintheverificationcodeonatrusteddevicethatʼsoffline:OnatrustediPhone,iPad,or
iPodtouch,gotoSettings>[yourname]>Password&Security,thentapGetVerification
Code.OnatrustedMacwithmacOS10.15orlater,chooseApplemenu >System
Preferences>AppleID>Password&Security,thenclickGetVerificationCode.Onatrusted
MacwithmacOS10.14andearlier,chooseApplemenu>SystemPreferences>iCloud>
AccountDetails>Security,thenclickGetVerificationCode.
3. Entertheverificationcodeonthenewdevice.
Youwonʼtbeaskedforaverificationcodeagainunlessyousignoutcompletely,eraseyour
device,signintoyourAppleIDaccountpageinawebbrowser,orneedtochangeyourAppleID
passwordforsecurityreasons.
Addorremoveatrustedphonenumber
Whenyouenrolledintwo-factorauthentication,youhadtoverifyonetrustedphonenumber.You
shouldalsoconsideraddingotherphonenumbersyoucanaccess,suchasahomephone,ora
numberusedbyafamilymemberorclosefriend.
1. GotoSettings >[yourname]>Password&Security.
2. TapEdit(abovethelistoftrustedphonenumbers),thendooneofthefollowing:
Addanumber:TapAddaTrustedPhoneNumber.
Removeanumber:Tap nexttothephonenumber.
