To enlarge the thumbnail icons in list view
When you work in list view, it may sometimes be dicult to determine the content of a photo
based on the le information. You can enlarge the thumbnail icons that appear in list view to
give you a better look at the photos.
m Drag the Thumbnail Resize slider to increase or decrease the size of the icons.
To rename a photo version in list view
You can easily rename les after importing them. When you rename a le, you are renaming the
photo version, not the original. The lename of the original does not change.
m Select a photo, then double-click the photo’s version name and enter a new name.
Choosing a Workspace View
You can easily change the layout of the Aperture main window to match your workspace
preferences and workow. You can work with the Browser lling the main window, with the
Browser in combination with the Viewer, or with only the Viewer open.
When you work with the Browser and Viewer together, you can reposition the Browser on the
screen. For example, you can rotate the Browser to the side. You can also swap the position of
the Viewer and Browser.
To work with the Browser lling the main window
Do one of the following:
m Choose View > Browser.
m Click the Browser button in the toolbar.
To work with the Browser and Viewer together in the main window
Do one of the following:
m Choose View > Split View.
m Click the Split View button in the toolbar.
To work with the Viewer only
Do one of the following:
m Choose View > Viewer.
m Click the Viewer button in the toolbar.
Tip: To quickly change workspace views, press the V key repeatedly until you see the view you
want to work in.
To rotate the position of the Browser
m Choose View > Browser > Rotate Position (or press Shift-W).
