AppleCare Protection Plan Fact Sheet Service and support from the people who know your Mac best The AppleCare Protection Plan extends the complimentary coverage on your Mac to up to three years of world-class support.* The plan includes expert telephone technical support, global repair, onsite repairs for desktop computers,** and web-based resources. Coverage information To qualify for the AppleCare Protection Plan, your Mac must still be under its original Apple hardware warranty.

If you are not able to resolve the issue, Apple technical support representatives can help troubleshoot Apple hardware, the Mac OS, and many Apple-branded consumer applications. AppleCare Protection Plan Quick Reference Guide Try these simple steps before contacting Apple for help. If you experience difficulties with your Mac, try these troubleshooting steps. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step. As a precaution, you should back up your data before you perform any of these steps. 1. Check connections. Turn off the computer and ensure that all cables are securely connected to the computer. Turn the computer back on to see if the issue is resolved. 2.

Equipment and your Plan’s registration number (“Plan Agreement Number”) with Apple. If autoregistration is available, your original sales receipt will be your Plan Confirmation. The terms of this Plan, the original sales receipt for your Plan and the Plan Confirmation are each part of your service contract. The price of the Plan is contained in the original sales receipt.
3.3 Technical Support During the Coverage Period, Apple will provide you with access to telephone and web-based technical support resources. Technical support may include assistance with installation, launch, configuration, troubleshooting, and recovery (except for data recovery), including storing, retrieving, and managing files; interpreting system error messages; and determining when hardware service is required.

Hardware Service Options 6.1 Apple will provide hardware services through one or more of the following options: (i) Carry-in service. Carry-in service is available for most Covered Equipment. Return the Covered Equipment to an Apple-owned retail store or an AASP location offering carry-in service.

CONSUMER RIGHTS TO SEEK DAMAGES IN THE EVENT OF TOTAL OR PARTIAL NON-PERFORMANCE OR INADEQUATE PERFORMANCE BY APPLE OF ANY OF ITS CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS.
Plan, you will receive a pro rata refund of the original purchase price, based on the percentage of unexpired Coverage Period from the Plan’s date of purchase, less (a) the applicable cancellation fee listed in Section 12 below or ten percent (10%) of the pro-rata amount, whichever is less, and (b) the value of any service provided to you under the Plan.

United Kingdom Section 8 - Section 8 is replaced by the following provisions: 8.1 - Apple is not responsible for ensuring that the Plan is suitable for your required purpose. 8.2 - Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude Apple’s liability (i) for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or (ii) for fraud or (iii) any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 8.3 - Subject to clauses 8.2 and 8.
If you are a consumer: These terms and conditions together with any previous written or oral representations given or made by Apple or any representative of Apple constitute your and Apple’s entire understanding with respect to the Plan. Such terms shall prevail over any conflicting, additional, or other terms of any purchase order or other document submitted by you.
8.5- Subject to clause 8.3, our maximum aggregate liability under these Terms and Conditions, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall in no circumstances exceed the amount payable by you to us in respect of the Plan. Section 9 - If you cancel more than 30 days after your receipt of this Plan, you will receive a prorata refund of the Plan’s original purchase price, less a cancellation fee of €25.00 or 10 per cent of the pro-rata amount, whichever is less.
Section 9: Section 9 is supplemented by the following provision: a) If you are a consumer and you have entered this Plan through the Apple Online Store web site or through another distance contract (e.g. over the phone), you may cancel the Plan within 14 days following your purchase of the Plan, or the receipt of these Terms and Conditions, whichever occurs later, and you will receive a full refund of the purchase price in accordance with the Consumers Contract Act.

THE SERVICE. NOTHING IN THIS PLAN SHALL PREJUDICE CONSUMER RIGHTS GRANTED BY THE APPLICABLE MANDATORY LAWS.

Equipment. Service will be performed at the location, or the service technician will transport the Covered Equipment to an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Repair Service Location for repair. If the Covered Equipment is repaired at an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Repair Service Location, the Covered Equipment will be transported to your location following service.

2. Beginn und Ende des Schutzes Der Schutz beginnt, wenn Sie den Plan kaufen und endet an dem Tag, der in Ihrer PlanBestätigung angegeben ist („Schutzdauer“). Um Ihre Plan-Bestätigung zu erhalten, müssen Sie das erfasste Produkt und Ihre Registriernummer für den Plan („Vertragsnummer des Plans“) bei Apple registrieren. Wenn Auto-Registrierung zur Verfügung steht, ist Ihr Original-Kaufbeleg Ihre PlanBestätigung.
(i) Unter dem APP für Mac (a) einen mit der Marke Apple versehenen kompatiblen Bildschirm, wenn er zur gleichen Zeit wie das erfasste Produkt gekauft wurde, (b) eine Maus, ein Magic Trackpad, einen Apple-Batterieladegerät und eine Tastatur, die mit der Marke Apple versehen sind, wenn sie beim erfassten Produkt dabei waren (oder mit einem Mac Mini gekauft wurden) und (c) eine AirPort Extreme-Karte, eine AirPort Express oder AirPort Extreme Basisstation, eine Time Capsule, einen mit der Marke Apple ver sehe
grafischen Benutzerschnittstelle für Probleme mit der Server-Administration und der Netzwerk-Verwaltung auf Apples Serversoftware für das Betriebssysteme („Mac OS Server“) auf einem Mac erbringen.
die durch jemanden durchgeführt wurden, der kein Vertreter von Apple oder ein Apple Authorized Service Provider („AASP“) ist; (iii) Ein erfasstes Produkt mit einer Seriennummer, die verändert, entstellt oder entfernt wurde oder die verändert wurde, um ohne die schriftliche Erlaubnis des Herstellers seine Funktionalität oder Leistungsfähigkeit zu verändern; (iv) Ein erfasstes Produkt, das verloren gegangen ist oder gestohlen wurde.
(v) Ihre Nutzung eines Computers oder eines Betriebssystems unter APP für AppleBildschirme, die in keinem Zusammenhang mit den Verbindungsschwierigkeiten mit dem erfassten Produkt steht; (vi) Ihre Nutzung eines Computers oder eines Betriebssystems unter APP für Apple TV, die in keinem Zusammenhang mit der Apple TV-Software oder den Verbindungs schwierigkeiten mit dem erfassten Produkt steht; (vii) andere Apple-Software als die vom jeweiligen Plan erfasste Mac OS, Mac OS Server, iPod-Software, Apple TV-Soft
6. Optionen bei Hardware-Service 6.1 Apple stellt Hardware-Service durch eine oder mehrere der nachfolgenden Optionen zur Verfügung: (i) „Carry-in“ Service. Carry-in Service steht für die meisten erfassten Produkte zur Verfügung. Bringen Sie das erfasste Produkt zu einem Apple-eigenen Store oder einem AASP, der Carry-in Service anbietet.
(iv) Express-Austausch-Service oder Do-It-Yourself-Service („DIY“) für Komponenten. Der Express-Austausch-Service steht für bestimmte erfasste Produkte zur Verfügung und der DIY-Service für Komponenten steht für viele erfasste Produkte zur Verfügung und erlaubt Ihnen, Ihr eigenes Produkt zu reparieren.
6.2 Apple behält sich das Recht vor, die Art und Weise, in der Apple Reparatur- oder AustauschService erbringt, sowie die Berechtigung Ihres erfassten Produkts für den Erhalt einer bestimmten Art und Weise des Service zu ändern. Der Service ist auf die Optionen beschränkt, die in dem Land, in dem der Service in Anspruch genommen wird, zur Verfügung stehen. Die Service-Optionen, die Verfügbarkeit von Zubehörteilen und die Reaktionszeit können abhängig von dem jeweiligen Land variieren.
(v) Sie werden die Software auf die zum jeweiligen Zeitpunkt aktuelle Version updaten, bevor Sie den Service in Anspruch nehmen; und (vi) Sie stellen sicher, dass Sicherheitskopien von der Software und den Daten auf dem erfassten Produkt erstellt werden.
BESCHRÄNKUNG AUF KOSTEN FÜR DIE WIEDERHERSTELLUNG, DIE NEUPROGRAMMIERUNG ODER REPRODUKTION VON PROGRAMMEN ODER DATEN ODER KOSTEN INFOLGE DER VERLETZUNG DER VERTRAULICHKEIT VON DATEN, DES VERLUSTS VON GESCHÄFTSMÖGLICHKEITEN, INFOLGE ENTGANGENEN GEWINNS, ENTGANGENEN UMSATZES ODER ENTGANGENER EINSPARUNGEN, DIE DURCH VERPFLICHTUNGEN VON APPLE UNTER DIESEM PLAN VERURSACHT WURDEN.
Erwerb des Plans oder nach Erhalt dieser Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen, je nachdem, welches Ereignis später eintritt, kündigen, wird Ihnen der vollständige für den Plan gezahlte Kaufpreis zurückerstattet, abzüglich des Wertes der Service-Leistungen, die gemäß diesen Plans bereits erbracht wurden.

(ii) Mit Übertragung vom ursprünglich erfassten Produkt auf das neue erfasste Produkt: Sie sind berechtigt, einmalig und endgültig den Schutz unter dem Plan auf ein neues Apple-Produkt, das Ihnen gehört und innerhalb von dreißig (30) Tagen seit dem Erwerb des erfassten Produkts erworben wurde, zu übertragen.
(vi) Sie stimmen zu, dass sämtliche Informationen und Daten, die Sie Apple im Rahmen dieses Plans zur Verfügung stellen, weder vertraulich noch geschützt sind. Sie stimmen außerdem zu, dass Apple Ihre Daten bei Erbringung der Services erheben und in Ihrem Auftrag verarbeiten darf.
(xi) Ein Verfahren zur außergerichtlichen Streitbeilegung steht bei diesem Plan nicht zur Verfügung. (xii) Die finanziellen Verpflichtungen aus diesem Vertrag werden durch Apple Distribution International, Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Irland abgesichert. Sollte Apple Distribution International diese Verpflichtungen nicht erfüllen, würden diese Verpflichtungen von Apple Operations Europe, einem Unternehmen, das nach irischem Recht eingetragen ist, übernommen. .
Zubehörteilen und die Reaktionszeit können abhängig von dem jeweiligen Land variieren. Sie sind gegebenenfalls für Versandkosten verantwortlich, wenn das erfasste Produkt nicht in dem Land, in dem es sich befindet, repariert oder ausgetauscht werden kann.
(ii) Die vorgenannten Haftungsbeschränkungen gelten nicht in Fällen zwingender gesetzlicher Haftung, insbesondere nach dem Produkthaftungsgesetz, sowie bei schuldhaft verursachten Verletzungen des Lebens, des Körpers oder der Gesundheit. Darüber hinaus gelten sie nicht, wenn und soweit Apple eine Garantie übernommen hat. (iii) Absätze (i) und (i) gelten entsprechend für die Haftung von Apple für vergebliche Aufwendungen.
SCHWEIZ Abschnitt 8 – Abschnitt 8 wird wie folgt ersetzt: 8.1 – Wenn Sie ein Verbraucher sind, wird keine Bestimmung in dem Plan unsere Haftung für die Verletzung von Bestimmungen, die nach zwingenden Gesetzen als stillschweigend vereinbart gelten, beschränken oder ausschließen. 8.
9.2 - Wenn Sie mehr als 30 Tage nach dem Erhalt des Plans kündigen, wird Ihnen der für den Plan ursprünglich gezahlte Kaufpreis anteilig zurückerstattet, abzüglich einer Kündigungsgebühr in Höhe von SFR 39,00 oder 10 Prozent des anteilig zurückzuerstattenden Betrages, je nach dem, welcher Betrag geringer ist.

Dit uitgebreide plan biedt deskundige telefonische ondersteuning, wereldwijde reparatieservice, reparatie van desktopcomputers ter plaatse** en ondersteuning via het internet.
Als u de computer met de dekking verkoopt voordat het AppleCare Protection Plan afloopt, is de dekking volledig overdraagbaar op de nieuwe eigenaar.** Opties voor technische ondersteuning Als u problemen hebt met het product dat onder de dekking valt, raadpleegt u het gedeelte "Kort overzicht" voor tips om problemen op te lossen. De technische medewerkers van Apple kunnen u helpen bij het oplossen van een probleem met de Apple hardware, het Mac OS of een van de programma's van Apple.
AppleCare Protection Plan Kort overzicht Voer voordat u contact opneemt met Apple de volgende eenvoudige stappen uit. Als u problemen hebt met uw Mac, kunt u deze aan de hand van onderstaande stappen proberen op te lossen. Als het probleem zich blijft voordoen, probeert u of u het kunt verhelpen door de daaropvolgende stap uit te voeren. Het wordt aanbevolen een reservekopie van uw gegevens te maken voordat u een van deze stappen uitvoert. 1. Controleer de aansluitingen.
4. Voer de onderstaande stappen uit. • Controleer de compatibiliteit. Controleer of de software of hardware van andere fabrikanten die u op de computer gebruikt, compatibel is met Mac OS X. • Raadpleeg de Mac OS X-ondersteuningswebsite. Deze website van Apple (www.apple.com/nl/support/lion voor Nederland en www.apple.com/benl/support/lion voor België) bevat een schat aan tips en andere handige technische informatie. 5. Neem voor hulp contact op met Apple.

2. Aanvang en einde Servicetermijn De servicetermijn vangt aan op het moment dat u dit servicecontract aanschaft en eindigt op de datum die vermeld staat op uw Servicecertificaat ("Servicetermijn"). U ontvangt uw Servicecertificaat na aanmelding van de Gedekte Apparatuur bij Apple, onder vermelding van het registratienummer van deze Regeling ("Contractnummer"). Ingeval er sprake is van automatische aanmelding, geldt uw originele aankoopbewijs als Servicecertificaat.
oplader en Apple-toetsenbord wanneer deze bij de Gedekte Apparatuur zijn inbegrepen (of samen met een Mac mini zijn aangeschaft), alsmede (c) een AirPort Extreme-kaart, een AirPort Express- of AirPort Extreme-basisstation, een Time Capsule, een DVI-naarADC-beeldschermadapter van Apple, RAM-modules van Apple en een MacBook Air SuperDrive, wanneer deze in samenhang met de Gedekte Apparatuur worden gebruikt en uiterlijk twee jaar vóór aankoop van de Gedekte Apparatuur door u zijn aangeschaft.
(ii) Bij de APP-for-iPod-service levert Apple technische ondersteuning voor de Gedekte Apparatuur, de iPod OS en voor softwareapplicaties die vooraf op de Gedekte Apparatuur zijn geïnstalleerd (beide hierna te noemen: "iPod-software"), alsmede voor connectiviteitsproblemen tussen de Gedekte Apparatuur en een "Ondersteunde Computer", dat wil zeggen een computer die aan de connectiviteitsspecificaties van de Gedekte Apparatuur voldoet en met een besturingssysteem draait dat door de Gedekte Apparatuur onderste
(iii) Gedekte Apparatuur waarvan het serienummer onleesbaar is gemaakt of gewijzigd of verwijderd is, dan wel waarvan de functionaliteit of de gebruiksmogelijkheden zonder toestemming van de fabrikant zijn aangepast; (iv) Gedekte Apparatuur die verloren of gestolen is.
(iv) gevallen waarin het gebruik dat u van een computer of besturingssysteem maakt, geen betrekking heeft op de Apple TV-software of op connectiviteitsproblemen met de Gedekte Apparatuur in het kader van de APP-for-Apple TV-service; (vii) andere Apple-software dan de Mac OS, Mac OS Server, iPod-software, Apple TV-software of Consumentensoftware die onder de betreffende Regeling valt; (viii) Mac OS-software voor servers, behalve wanneer gebruik wordt gemaakt van de grafische gebruikersinterface voor probleme
AASP die deze carry-in service aanbiedt. De reparatie wordt in de winkel of op locatie bij de serviceprovider verricht en anders wordt de Gedekte Apparatuur voor herstel of vervanging naar een reparatieservice van Apple ("ARS") doorgestuurd. U ontvangt bericht wanneer de reparatie is uitgevoerd. U dient de Gedekte Apparatuur vervolgens onverwijld op te halen. (ii) On-site service. Voor veel desktopcomputers is service op de locatie van de klant beschikbaar.
(a) Service waarbij Apple retourzending van het gerepareerde product of onderdeel verlangt. Apple kan als zekerheid voor de consumentenprijs van het vervangende product of onderdeel en voor de verzendkosten ter zake een creditcardmachtiging vragen. Wanneer u geen creditcardmachtiging kunt afgeven, is het mogelijk dat deze service voor u niet beschikbaar is, in welk geval Apple een alternatieve servicemogelijkheid zal aanbieden.

IN SOMMIGE LANDEN, (DEEL)STATEN OF PROVINCIES IS HET NIET MOGELIJK OM INDIRECTE SCHADE OF GEVOLGSCHADE UIT TE SLUITEN OF TE BEPERKEN.

Behoudens andersluidende lokale wet- of regelgeving kan deze Regeling ook door Apple worden beëindigd wanneer bepaalde onderdelen van de Gedekte Apparatuur niet meer leverbaar zijn, zulks met inachtneming van een schriftelijke opzeggingstermijn van dertig (30) dagen. Wanneer deze Regeling door Apple wordt beëindigd wegens het niet-leverbaar zijn van onderdelen, ontvangt u een prorata-bedrag retour naar evenredigheid van de nog niet verstreken looptijd van de Regeling. 10.
11. Algemeen (i) Apple kan haar verplichtingen aan derden overdragen of uitbesteden. Overdracht of uitbesteding ontslaat Apple echter niet van haar verplichtingen jegens u. (ii) Apple is niet verantwoordelijk voor tekortkomingen of vertragingen in de nakoming van de Regeling wanneer dit het gevolg is van gebeurtenissen die buiten de redelijke macht van Apple zijn gelegen.

(xvi) Deze Regeling wordt niet beëindigd wegens reeds bestaande gebreken in de Gedekte Apparatuur wanneer deze voor service ingevolge deze Regeling in aanmerking komen. 12.
