Troubleshooting General/ - 1 General The Symptom Charts included in this chapter will help you diagnose specific symptoms related to your product. Because cures are listed on the charts in the order of most likely solution, try the first cure first. Verify whether or not the product continues to exhibit the symptom. If the symptom persists, try the next cure. (Note: If you have replaced a module, reinstall the original module before you proceed to the next cure.
Troubleshooting Error Messages and LEDs/ - 2 Error Messages and LEDs The Color StyleWriter 2200 has two LEDs that can aid in troubleshooting the printer: error LED and power LED.

Upper Case Caution: Do not use ammonia-based or alcoholbased cleaners on or around the printer. These cleaners may react with the plastic. Caution: Do not spill liquid in the power cord receptacle.

To access more of the pickup rollers’ surface area, gently push down on the paper lift plate to disengage the roller clutch mechanism and allow the rollers to rotate freely. Rotate and clean the pickup rollers until the entire outer surface of each pickup roller is clean.
Additional Procedures Roller Cleaning - 32 4 Using a lightly moistened lint-free cloth, run the cloth down the length of the feed roller. In most cases, cleaning the exposed area of the feed roller will be sufficient to resolve the paper feeding problem. However, if the problem persists, go to the next step.

Note: The EEPROM in the control PCB assembly should be reset after replacing the print unit assembly. 1 Plug the AC adapter into a power source, but do not (yet) plug the adapter into the printer.
