Speci fy ing colors using the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM

In some application programs, you can use Apple’s Color Picker i n
conjunction with the PANTONE
®
Color Picker to sp ecify PAN TONE
®
colors.
The PANTONE Color Picker extension is automatically installed along with
th e rest of the Apple Displays software.
For example, in a variety of applications, Apple’s Color Picker is automatically
launched when a new color needs to be sp ecified. Often, a menu of several
different color systems is available to choose from. When you select
PA N T O N E, a dialog box app ears.
By selecti ng PA NTONE matchi ng colors, you are assured of a close match
betw een what you see on your monitor and the printed version. PA NTON E
®
Color Picker may look different on your computer.
If PANTON E colors are not available in the Color Picker menu, click the
More Choices button; then select PANTONE.
