Schema modi cations may be required to manage Mac OS X client systems from the directory.

Remote server administration

requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later.

Management of preferences requires client systems with Mac OS X v10.2 or later.

Apache

versions 1.3 and 2.0 are installed in Mac OS X Server v10.4 and are accessible from the command line; Server Admin provides a

user interface for con guring and managing Apache 1.3.

NetBoot requires Mac systems released in October 1999 or later and a

physical Ethernet connection; it does not support AirPort wireless technology. NetInstall requires Mac systems released in October

1999 or later; application installation requires client systems with Mac OS X v10.2 or later. Licensing terms apply to Apple and third-

party software deployments.
