App Store at a glance
Use the App Store to browse, purchase, and download apps to iPhone.
Want to explore the App Store? Tap Featured or Top Charts to browse these selections. Tap
Categories to narrow your focus.

If you know what you’re looking for, use Search. For recommendations based on your previous
purchases, tap Genius.
What apps are being tapped nearby? Tap Near Me to nd out the most popular apps folks
around you are using. Try this at a museum, sporting event, or when you’re traveling, to dig
deeper into your experience.
Want to tell a friend about an app? Find the app, tap , and share it.
Note: You need an Internet connection and an Apple ID to use the App Store.
Purchase, redeem, and download
Tap the app’s price (or tap Free), then tap Buy App to purchase it. If it’s free, tap Install App.

If you see “Install” instead of a price, you’ve already purchased the app and can download it again
without a charge. While the app is downloading, its icon appears on the Home screen with a
progress indicator.
Use a gift card or code. Tap Featured, scroll to the bottom, and tap Redeem.
Send a gift. View the item you want to give, then tap and Gift.
