Network Engine and Client Requirements

This section details the minimum hardware and software requirements for a

Macintosh running the Kurzweil 3000 Network Engine, client, and

Administrator software.

Network Engine Requirements

• A Macintosh with a minimum of a G3 processor

that is running Mac OS X

version 10.4 to 10.6.

• Minimum of 128 MB of RAM.

• Minimum 5 MB of hard disk space.

Client Requirements

• A Macintosh with a minimum of a G3 processor

that is running Mac OS X

version 10.4 to 10.6

• 128MB RAM. (512MB RAM for Cepstral voices.)

• Minimum 300MB of hard disk space available. (500MB for Cepstral

voices.)

• QuickTime 7.1.3 or later, free download from www.apple.com.

• Kurzweil Educational Systems, Inc. approved and tested, TWAIN-

compatible scanner (if using Kurzweil 3000 Professional on a client
