Chapter 8 Installing Final Cut Server Clients

Follow the instructions in the Java installer that appears.7
After Java is installed, a page appears, asking you to verify the Java installation. Click the 8
Verify Installation button.
After the Java installation is veried, you are notied that the installation has been
completed successfully.

If the computer you are using does not have a current version of QuickTime installed,
you should install it now. For the current client system requirements, see the Before You
Install Final Cut Server document, located on the Final Cut Server installation disc.
If the computer you are using already has QuickTime installed, you must Important:
remove and reinstall QuickTime after installing Java Runtime Environment. Follow the
instructions in the next section.

In Internet Explorer 7 or Safari for Windows, go to 1
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download.
Select QuickTime for Windows Vista or Windows XP, enter your email address (optional), 2
then click the Free Download Now button.
In the File Download - Security Warning dialog that appears, click Run.3
In the Internet Explorer- Security Warning dialog that appears, click Run.4
Follow the instructions in the QuickTime installer that appears.5
QuickTime is installed on your computer. You can now open the Final Cut Server client.
