Delete tracks in a Logic Pro project
You can delete a track to remove it from the project. When you delete a track, all regions
on the track are deleted.
Delete a track
In Logic Pro, Control-click the track header, then choose Delete Track from the shortcut
menu.
Edit multiple tracks in a Logic Pro project
You can make edits to multiple tracks in the Tracks area simultaneously by dragging the
pointer vertically over track header buttons (such as Solo, Mute, Hide, Protect, and Freeze)
on multiple tracks. Slide activation is similar to running your finger across several channel
strip buttons on good hardware mixing consoles.
To try out slide activation in Logic Pro, click and hold the Mute button
of one track, then
drag the pointer up or down. The Mute buttons of all swiped tracks switch to the same
state.
Simply drag over the Mute buttons of the same tracks to undo the mute.
Edit track header controls on multiple tracks
In Logic Pro, click and hold a control on one track header, then drag the pointer up or
down over additional tracks.
The corresponding control on all the swiped tracks switch to the same state.

Logic Pro patches overview
A patch contains the instrument, effects, Smart Controls, and routing settings that control
the sound of a track. When you choose a patch, those settings are applied to the currently
selected track. You can try a different sound for the track by choosing a different patch, as
long as the patch is compatible with the track type.
You can choose a patch in the Library when you create a track, and choose a different
patch at any time while you’re working. The patches displayed in the Library depend on the
track type. For example, when an audio, software instrument, or Drummer track is selected,
patches for that track type are available.
Patches can include one or more channel strip settings, and can also contain routing
information (auxes) and metadata (for Smart Controls and controller mapping). Patches for
audio tracks can include default effects settings. Patches for software instrument tracks
include an instrument plug-in as well as effects settings. Specially designed performance
patches make it easy to play multiple instrument articulations. See Map performance
patches in Logic Pro.
You can edit patches by changing channel strip settings, adding plug-ins, or editing plug-in
parameters, and save your own custom patches. You can also search for patches by name
in the Library.
