Alter several contiguous step values
In Logic Pro, drag across the steps with the Pointer tool. Vertical movements affect the
value of each step.
The current value is shown in a help tag as you drag across each event.
Alter the values of multiple steps
1. In Logic Pro, select the steps you want to edit using any selection technique.
2. Grab one of the grouped (and highlighted) steps, then drag vertically.
The values of all steps are adjusted. If any of the beams in the group reaches the maximum
or minimum value, you can’t go any farther in that direction.
Move and copy steps in the Step Editor in Logic Pro
Steps can be moved or copied to other positions in the same, or other, lanes. When moved
or copied between lanes, the event values are retained, but are converted to the target
event type. For example, moving several steps from the volume lane into the pan lane
results in the volume lane step values being used for pan position changes.
Move selected steps
In Logic Pro, use the Finger tool to drag the selected steps to the new position and lane.
As you drag, a help tag displays the position, event type, and value (if applicable).
Move steps with key commands
In Logic Pro, assign and use the following key commands to move one or more steps.
The selected events are shifted one unit (referred to in the command) to the right (+1)
or left (−1).
