Polar

Converts images from rectangular coordinates to polar coordinates, and vice versa.

Tip: This lter works well with objects containing horizontal or vertical lines, such as the Stripes

or Checkerboard generators. A similar eect can be created with any image by adding the Line

Screen or other related lters.

Parameters in the Inspector

•

Center: Sets the center point of the distortion from Polar to Rectangular or Rectangular to

Polar. Drag the Center onscreen control to adjust its value in the Canvas.

•

Polar to Rect: Applies a Polar-to-Rectangular distortion to the image. When this checkbox is

deselected, a Rectangular-to-Polar distortion is applied.

•

Mix: Sets the percentage of the original image to be blended with the distorted image.

•

Publish OSC: Publishes the lter’s onscreen controls in Final Cut Pro X. For more information on
