Table Of Contents
Important: If you click Burn before inserting a dual-layer destination disc, Motion
assumes it is a single-layer disc, resulting in only half the disc being used, and
poorer-quality video.
If you’re creating a disk image file: Choose Hard Drive (Blu-ray) from the Output device
pop-up menu, click Next, enter a name for the file, choose a location, then click Save.
Important: By default, the Share feature assumes single-layer media for disk images
and adjusts the bit rate accordingly.
To monitor the render progress, use Share Monitor. For more information, see About
Share Monitor.
Note: Blu-ray and AVCHD menus are best suited for displays set to show 1080 lines of
vertical resolution.
Sharing to Podcast Producer and Email
There are two options for sharing using Apple and Mac OS X-specific services:
Podcast Producer is a component of Mac OS X Server for creating and publishing
podcasts. Before you can publish to Podcast Producer, you or your server administrator
need to set up a podcast server.
You can create an email message in Mail and include your movie as an attachment.
To share your project via Podcast Producer
1 Choose Share > Podcast Producer.
2 Click Configure.
3 Enter the servers IP address in the Server field, then click OK.
The server is contacted to verify its address. If that is successful, the Name and Password
fields appear.
Note: Contact your server administrator for details about how to configure your account.
Configuring your account requires a server IP address, a user name, and a password.
4 Enter the Name and Password text, then click OK.
The server configuration dialog closes.
5 Choose an option from the Workflow pop-up menu.
Workflow options depend on how Podcast Producer is configured on its server.
6 Enter the movie title and description you want viewers to see.
7 Choose an option from the Size pop-up menu, or select “Set size automatically” to have
Motion choose a relevant size (which is displayed in the disabled Size pop-up menu).
