Checking to See if Your Computer Recognizes the New Memory
After installing additional memory in your PowerBook, you can check to see if the computer
recognizes the new memory you installed.
To check the amount of built-in memory in your computer, do the following:
1 Start up your computer.
2 When you see the Mac OS desktop, choose About This Computer from the Apple (K) menu.
The following window shows the total amount of memory in the computer.
Note: The total includes the amount of memory that originally came with the computer
plus the new memory you added. For a more detailed breakdown of the amount of memory
installed in your computer, open the Apple (K) menu and choose Apple System Proļ¬ler.
