Logic Board

Tools

This procedure requires the following tools:

• Gasket Kit (076-1170)

• Torx T8 screwdriver (magnetized)

• Black stick (or other nonconductive nylon or plastic flat-blade tool)

PowerBook G4 (17-inch Double-Layer SD):

• Uses Shin-Etsu X23 thermal grease (supplied with logic board)

PowerBook G4 (17-inch 1.67GHz):

• Thermal grease G751 (922-6495) - if more is needed (supplied with logic board)

PowerBook G4 (17-inch 1.5GHz) and PowerBook G4 (17-inch 1.33GHz):

• Thermal pad kit (922-1033) - if needed (supplied with logic board)

• Thermal gel G751 (922-5929) - if needed (supplied with logic board)

• Razor knife

Note: To organize the screws you remove from the computer, use a tray with divided

compartments (such as a plastic ice cube tray).
