The following is a description of each control.
Icon Control Function
Reset Use this control to reset the settings to the factory default. (If
you’re in computer mode, this refers to the resolution; if you’re
in video mode, this refers to standards such as NTSC, PAL, and
SECAM.)
To reset the settings for all formats, not just the current format,
use a ballpoint pen to press and hold the Reset control for
approximately 3 seconds. The power indicator flashes amber.
When the amber light stops flashing, release the reset control.
On-Screen
Display (OSD)
on/off
Use this button to turn the On-Screen Display on and off when
the display is connected to a Windows-based computer or in
video playback mode.
If the display is connected to a Mac OS–based computer,
pressing this button will open the Monitors & Sound control
panel.
OSD navigation Use these buttons to navigate through the On-Screen Display
window. Press ø on the right to select the icon to the right;
press o on the left to select the icon to the left.
If the display is connected to a Mac OS–based computer,
pressing this button will open the Monitors & Sound control
panel.
OSD adjustment Use these buttons to make adjustments to the selected icon in
the On-Screen Display window. Press + on the right to increase
or select the next option; press – on the left to decrease or select
the previous option.
If the display is connected to a Mac OS–based computer,
pressing this button will open the Monitors & Sound control
panel.
Video source Press this button to switch between computer and video modes.
Brightness Press this button to change the brightness of the backlight. If
you’re using a Mac OS–based computer, the brightness dialog
box appears. If you’re using a Windows-based computer or are in
video mode, a similar brightness window appears.
Press + on the right to increase the brightness; press – on the
left to decrease the brightness.
