Welcome to iMac Let’s begin. Press the power button to start up your iMac. Your rechargeable Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard are already paired with your iMac. If you purchased a Magic Trackpad 2 or Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad with your iMac, it will also be paired. To begin using these devices, simply turn the on/off switch to on (green will be visible).
Help menu Finder Dock Menu bar Wi-Fi Siri System Preferences Get to know your desktop Your Mac desktop lets you find everything and do anything. Keep the apps you use most in the Dock at the bottom of the screen. Open System Preferences to customize your desktop and other settings. Click the Finder icon to get to all your files and folders. The menu bar at the top of the screen shows a menu based on the app you are using, as well as useful information about your Mac.

One-button click Click or double-click anywhere on the surface. Two-button click Enable Secondary Click in System Preferences to use right- and left-click. Screen zoom Hold down the Control key and scroll with one finger to enlarge items on your screen. 360º scroll Brush one finger along the surface to scroll or pan in any direction. Using your Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Keyboard To personalize how you use your devices, open System Preferences and select Keyboard, Mouse, or Trackpad.

Back up your data You can back up your iMac using Time Machine, a built-in backup tool in macOS that works with an external storage device, such as AirPort Time Capsule (sold separately).
