Station Name
This radio system is equipped with an RDS radio
receiver. Many FM stations send a signal that not only
contains the program but also other information such as
station name and program type (PTY).
The station name is displayed, if received.

Start Radio Mode
If the radio system is currently in a different mode:
Press the BND key once or press the SRC key
several times until RADIO is displayed.
The current frequency or station name is displayed.

Turn RDS Functions On/Off
The RDS functions extend the performance range of the
radio system.
AF (alternative frequency): When the RDS function is
activated, the radio system searches in the
background for the best receivable frequency of the
selected station.
REG (region): At certain times, some radio stations
divide their program into regional programs with
different content. When the REG function is
activated, the radio system will not switch to
alternative frequencies that are transmitting a
different program content.
NOTE: RDS (AF) is turned on as factory setting. REG
must be turned on and off separately via the menu.
REG can be turned on only when RDS is turned on.
Turn RDS (AF) on or off
1.Select the radio mode (FM frequency band).
2.Press the MENU key to open the menu.
3.Press the MENU key several times until RDS and the
current setting ON or OFF is displayed.
4.Turn the volume control counterclockwise or
clockwise to change from ON to OFF or vice versa.
5.Press the MENU key several times to exit the menu.
Turn REG on or off
1.Select the radio mode (FM frequency band).
2.Press the MENU key to open the menu.
3.Press the MENU key several times until REG and the
current setting ON or OFF is displayed.
4.Turn the volume control counterclockwise or
clockwise to change from ON to OFF or vice versa.
5.Press the MENU key several times to exit the menu.
NOTE: When the RDS functions are activated, RDS is
displayed.

Select Wave Band/Memory Level
Programs of different frequency bands can be received
with this radio system (see table).
Three memory levels are available each for the FM
wave band.
Two memory levels are available each for the AM/
AMT, MW/MWT and LW/LWT wave bands.
One memory levels is available for the WX wave
band.
6 stations can be saved at each memory level.
Press the BND key to switch between the wave bands
or memory levels.

Tuning in to a Station
There are two possible ways to tune in to a station:
Automatic seek, using the and keys.

Manual station tuning using the and keys.

PRG)” in this Section.
