4.7 Upgrade Player Driver
The firmware is a built-in program, with which you can run various hardware functions. By
upgrading the firmware, you can improve or enhance the performance and functions of the
player. No upgrading the firmware will not affect the normal operation of the player itself.
The upgrading of firmware may lead to the unit being unable to work properly due to error
operation. Please read carefully the instructions for upgrading before doing so.
Operation Procedures
Note: Before upgrading, make sure the player has enough electricity, in order to avoid upgrading
failures because of the lack of electricity, which can result in the player not working properly.
4.8 Formatting the Moving Disk
In case that you are unable to read or write in the operation of the player, please use the format
tools of Windows to format the player so as to recover the read and write operation of the file
system. However, it is seldom the case where the player is unable to read and write.
Generally, you can use the shortcut formatting to delete all files kept in the memory.
Before formatting, please do the following preparatory work:
Connect the player to the USB interface of the personal computer.
Back up useful data in the player.
Procedures for operation
1. Connect the player to the USB interface of a personal computer.
2. Double click on the icon of "My Computer" to open the window of My Computer. Select the
"Removable Disk".
3. Use the right key of the mouse to single click on the "Removable Disk" to select “Format”.
4. Single click on the "Start" button.
5. Pop up the Warning window, and select the "OK" button.
6. Start formatting.
7. After the formatting is over, single click on the "OK" button.
8. To exit formatting, single click on "Close" button.
Caution: Be sure to be careful while formatting, no files will be able to be recovered after
formatting.
