Two open end wrenches

x 8, large washers
x 4, large nuts
x 4, large hex bolts
x 8, small washers
x 4, small nuts
x 4, small hex bolts
To attach the mailbox to the plate:

Attach the Top Plate to
the Post using the 4
small bolts and 8 small
washers.
To attach the top plate to the post:
x 6, large sheet metal screws
To join the two post pieces:
x 4, small phillips screws
To join the two decorative covers:
x 6, small washers

Join the two post pieces together
using the 6 sheet metal screws
and 6 small washers.
DO NOT overtighten.
Tighten only until snug.

Install the assembled post into the
ground as described in the instruc-
tions for the mailbox. Pay particu-
lar attention to the location, height,
and distance from the street.

Ensure that the post
plate is facing toward the
street before installing
into the ground.

Attach the two halves of the
decorative post cover to eachother
around the post using the 4 screws.
The cover will be slightly loose so
that it can be raised during
gardening or lawn maintenance.
