TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Evaporative cooler won’t start The unit is not connected to the power
supply.
The unit is turned off.
Connect the unit to a power supply.
Turn the unit on.
Evaporative cooler emits an odor The unit is new.
The filter media contains mold.
The smell will dissipate after several
hours of use.
Replace the filter media immediately.
Evaporative cooler won’t respond to
the remote control
The remote control batteries are
dead.
Remote control sensor on the unit is
blocked.
The unit is damaged.
Replace the batteries.
Unblock the sensor.
If the unit doesn’t respond to the re-
mote control or the control panel, then
the unit may be damaged. Contact
customer service for repairs.
The fan is running, but the air isn’t cool The pump is turned off.
The water container is empty or the
water level is low.
The pump is damaged.
Turn the pump on.
Fill the water container.
