OPERATION
USING THE CLAMP MISTER
See Figure 2.
WARNING:
Ensure that the clamp mister does not leak water. Leaks
can result in a slippery surface and create a slip and fall
hazard.
With the flexible misting clamp mounted in your desired
location, away from the electrical devices and switches,
turn the water faucet completely on and allow the system
to pressurize.
After adequate pressure is reached, open the ON/OFF
valve to allow water from the tubing to mist. If misting
does not occur within 10 seconds, close the ON/OFF
valve, turn off the garden hose and see Troubleshooting
later in this manual.
To turn off the clamp mister:
Turn off the water faucet to relieve the pressure, then turn
the ON/OFF valve completely off, move the valve handle
to the closed position and disconnect the valve from the
garden hose.
Allow water to drain from the product.
NOTE:Ensure that the water is drained in an area where
it will not create a slippery surface and slip and fall hazard.
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause
product damage.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which could result in serious personal
injury.
NOTICE:
Ensure garden hose is disconnected and clamp mister
is properly drained when not in use and prior to freezing
temperatures. Water remaining in misting stand during
freezing conditions may freeze and damage clamp mister.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
Irregular mist patterns or leakage may be the result of a
clogged or dirty nozzle.
To clean nozzle:
Turn the hose faucet and the ON/OFF valve completely
off and disconnect the tube fitting from the mister body..
Soak misting tube assemby in Arctic Cove nozzle cleaner
(not included) or warm soapy water to loosen foreign
materials clogging or restricting the nozzle.
Attach tube fitting to garden hose to flush out debris.
Disconnect tube fitting from garden hose.
Reassemble the misting tube assembly to mister body.
WARNING:
Ensure all components of clamp mister are properly
assembled after maintenance has been performed and
that the system does not leak water. Improper hose
connections and/or leaks can result in a slippery surface
and create a slip and fall hazard.
