Arda hoods exhaust vertically up through the ceiling to the roof. They can be ducted to the rear behind the chimney duct through an outside wall. A short straight duct run will produce the most To Wall cap air flow. Length and elbows will reduce the efficiency of the blower. 2. Install a roof or wall cap.
Wall Mounted Hoods Fixing the Decorative Chimney Duct 1. Carefully losen but do not separate the telescopic chimney duct pieces. 2. Plug in the Hood. 3. Adjust the width of the support bracket to match the upper duct. Fix it to the ceiling using the screws provided (B) so that it is centred in line with your hood and at a distance from the ceiling indicated. 4. Attach the inside decorative chimney duct to the support bracket using provided screws (D). 5.

Island Mounted Hoods Installing the Duct Work 1. The mark on the ceiling made in the previous step will be where your 6” ducting will run through the ceiling. Around this point install cross bracing between the ceiling joists to support the weight of the hood. 2. Decide where the ductwork will run between the hood and the outside. Short straight duct runs will provide the most air flow. 3. Arda Island Hoods exhaust vertically up through the ceiling to the roof.
Island Mounted Hoods 9. Attach 6” aluminum duct (not included) to the prepared duct work in the ceiling. Seal all seams.specified minimun and maximum distance above your cooking suface. 4. USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS Operation: 1. For optimum performance in removing cooking odours, it is recommended that you turn ON your range hood prior to cooking and you leave it operating for 15 minutes after cooking. 2. Clean the surfaces of the range hood regularly using a non-abrasive detergent. 3. The anti-grease filters capture the grease particles suspended in the air. They will accumulate grease and dirt depending on the frequency of the use of your range/ cooktop. 4.

Control Functions Lighting: WARNING: Do not touch or change light bulbs while the hood is operating. Wait until the bulb has cooled before removing. Depending on your model of ARDA hood, there are three possible types of lighting. Incandescent , halogen and LED. The illumination is designed for use during cooking and not for prolonged general illumination of your kitchen. Prolonged use of the lights may reduce the life time of the bulbs.

7. LIMITED WARRANTY Arda Appliances NA warrants all hoods products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. It further warrants the motor (part only) for an additional year. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Proof of purchase/original invoice may be required to claim warranty. Keep a photocopy easily accessible.

Une fois la hotte en position adéquate, fixez-la fermement en place en serrant les vis (A). 6. Fixez un tube de conduit d’aération en aluminium de 15,24 cm (6 po) (non inclus) au conduit d’évacuation à l’aide de ruban adhésif en toile en fermant tous les joints (C). Installation de la hotte Veuillez prendre note que pour ne pas endommager la hotte, trois personnes sont nécessaires pour effectuer l'installation. 1. Retirez les filtres à graisses de la hotte. 2. Demandez l'aide de deux autres personnes pour soulever la hotte. 4. INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION ET D’ENTRETIEN Fonctionnement 1. Pour un rendement optimal en matière d’évacuation des odeurs, nous vous recommandons de mettre la hotte de la cuisinière en marche avant de commencer la cuisson et de la laisser en marche pendant 15 minutes après la cuisson. 2. Nettoyez les surfaces de la hotte régulièrement à l’aide d’un détergent non abrasif. 3. Le filtre à graisses capte les particules de graisse en suspension dans l’air.

Fonctions des boutons de commande Éclairage Selon le modèle de hotte ARDA, chacune est dotée d’un des trois types d’éclairage ciaprès : incandescent, halogène ou DEL. L’éclairage est conçu pour être utilisé lors de la cuisson et non pas pendant de longues périodes de temps pour éclairer votre cuisine. L’utilisation prolongée des lampes peut réduire la durée de vie des ampoules. AVERTISSEMENT : Ne touchez pas aux ampoules et ne les remplacez pas pendant que la hotte est en marche.
6.GUIDE DE DÉPANNAGE Problème Raison possible Solution La hotte ne se met pas en marche Aucune alimentation électrique. Vérifiez si la prise est branchée Le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé. Appelez le service à la clientèle d’ARDA. Les filtres à graisses en aluminium sont obstrués. Nettoyez les filtres et remettez-les en place une fois secs. Le filtre au charbon est obstrué. L’appareil fonctionne seulement en mode circulation d’air. Remplacez les filtres au charbon.
7. GARANTIE LIMITÉE Integrated Appliances Ltd. garantit tous ses produits de hottes contre tout défaut de matériau ou de fabrication pour une période de UN AN à partir de la date d’achat initiale. De plus, elle offre une garantie sur le moteur (pièces uniquement) pour une période additionnelle d’un an.
