Bit patt. BRI/
U
This function is used to select the bit pattern to be sent cyclically
by the ARGUS to perform a BERT on a BRI or U-interface
access. There are several predefined bit patterns available (2
11
-1
= default).
Additionally, it is also possible to enter a 16 bit long pattern of
your choice in binary.
Use the horizontal cursor keys to move the cursor right or left.

Bit pattern
PRI
This function is used to select the bit pattern to be sent cyclically
by the ARGUS to perform a BERT on a PRI access (see “Bit patt.
BRI/U”).
( 2
15
-1 = default setting).
Error level This is the level used to evaluate whether the BERT had an
"acceptable" bit error rate.
If the BERT has a bit error rate, which exceeds this error level, the
ARGUS will display a "NO" as the test result.
Using the keypad, this parameter can be set to any value from 01
(= 10
-01
) to 99 ( = 10
-99
). The default threshold (error level) is 10
-06
(1E-06). That means that, in the event that the bit error rate is less
than 10
-06
(one error in 10
6
= 1,000,000 sent bits), the bit error
test will be evaluated as OK.
HRX value Setting for the HRX value
(Hypothetical Reference Connections, see the ITU-T G.821)
Using the keypad, you can enter a value ranging from 0 to 100%.
