9.9.2 Time measurement: B-channel delay
The ARGUS places a call to itself (self call) or to a remote
loopbox and measures the propagation delay for the data in
the selected B-channel.
The ARGUS disconnects automatically as soon as the
measurement is completed.
In the Single tests menu, use
the < ↓ > to select Time
measuring.
Use the < ↓ > to choose
Interchan.dela.
Enter own number for self
calls or remote number for
connections to a remote
loopbox.
Use the < ↓ > to select the
service.
Enter the B-channel on the
keypad.
Perform measurement
The ARGUS displays the
propagation delay in
milliseconds and in bits
(multiples of the time required
to send a bit at 64 kBit/s).
(The time for sending 1 bit at
64 kBit/s = approx. 15.26 µs.)
